Best accessories to pair your baby dress girl with this winter.

We’ve checked out the coolest baby dress girl trends for summer – organic cotton, stripes and patterns, printed animals and pretty colours – but what about preparing your baby girl’s closet for winter? Winters can be harsh in many places so your baby girl must be bundled up in warm and comfortable clothes. We’re halfway through the year already; before you know it, winter will be staring right at our faces. You do not want to be unprepared then, do you? Therefore, it is best to plan for the cold season before it arrives. Here is a guide to ensure you are dressing up your baby girl right for winter.

Before we get into the different must-haves for your baby girl’s winter closet, consider the following:

If your child is a toddler, she probably has a lot of energy to burn and is constantly on the move. In such a case, you do not want to pile layers upon layers around her – that would make it difficult for her to be as mobile as she would like to be.
Think of your toddler as a mini-version of yourself. If you are feeling chilly in one sweatshirt, there’s a good chance she feels cold too.
Layering thin and loose clothes works better than throwing on a heavy jacket.
Whatever you choose, make sure your baby girl’s hands and ears are covered properly.

Winter does not need to mean drab colours and grandma-knit jumpers. Get creative with your clothing choices. There are plenty of accessories you can choose from.

Beanies are basic baby dress girl accessories that you cannot do without. Get cute colourful beanies that are big enough to cover her ears. These can be made of wool, cashmere or fleece. Along with beanies, cute mittens that cover their hands and keep them warm are super important. Frostbite is a serious issue during winter in most countries in the north. Mittens are a good accessory to prevent that.

Consider buying knit hats that are made of wool or cashmere too. Some such caps are made of fleece-lined cotton as well, so the options are endless. If they have ear flaps, they are even better. These can keep your baby girl warm and cosy. If they don’t have ear flaps, not to worry, you can pair these knit caps with cute ear muffs made of faux fur.

Woollen scarves are another must-have for the winter baby dress girl closet. Only, you’ll have to take care to ensure they are not too thick and heavy. They might make it difficult for your baby girl to breathe otherwise. Avoid strings that need to be tied, for they can become choking hazards. Zippers or button-up jumpers

Choose water-resistant parkas and fleece-lined jackets that are not too heavy but are still cosy and warm. Your baby girl can wear a hoodie under such a jacket for added insulation. If a heavy coat is all you have for her, then make sure that when you are inside a car,  you are removing the heavy coat and replacing it with a warm blanket or scarf. You can also just use a windbreaker instead of a heavy coat.

If you live in a region where it snows, then snow boots and waterproof ski gloves are also needed to properly insulate your baby girl so she can continue playing outdoors without worry.

Choose the right gear in preparation for the cold season so your baby girl will be fully prepared for a cool and fun winter!
