Natural and Organic Products, Investigated Properly
Simply Organic Baby explores natural, organic, non-toxic, ethical and sustainable products for babies, children and adults. We look beyond the claims on the packaging to understand ingredients, certifications, ownership, manufacturing and the companies behind the products.
A baby is where the problem starts. What are we exposing a human being to from birth? Food. Skin products. Shampoo. Laundry detergent. Bedding. Clothes. Nappies. Plastics. Cleaning products. Air. Water. Then that baby becomes a child, a teenager and an adult. We get chronic diseases, allergies, cancers, metabolic disorders which can never be medically linked to a shampoo we used or the juice we drank. The underlying question is:
What happens if we try to reduce unnecessary exposure from the very beginning?

A baby represents our most natural, unpolluted state. Simple. Clean. Honest.
We can learn from that when we choose how we live and what we put on our bodies.
Simply Organic Baby
A space inspired by how we care for babies: natural, organic, non-toxic, ethical, sustainable living. For everyone.

I created Simply Organic Baby as a mother trying to make better choices in a world full of noise, chemicals, and confusion. This site reflects how I live, what I buy, and what I choose to avoid, with honesty about imperfections and limits. Read more about why I created this site.
Clean Beauty Decision Checklist
Vegan doesn’t mean it’s good for you.
Natural doesn’t mean it’s healthy
Simple, Clean, Pure, Naked, and other words like that don’t mean anything when it comes to ingredients.
There is no regulation around using these words on a product.
Before You Buy
Read the ingredients. Don’t be scared of unfamiliar words.
BE scared of words that sound like from a chemical factory.
If it’s not something you have in your kitchen, think twice before you buy that product.
Look at what an ingredient actually is and what it does, rather than relying on words such as natural, clean or pure on the front of the packaging.
A Simple Clean Beauty Filter
- Would you use this on a baby?
- Does it have fewer than 5 ingredients?
- Are ingredients clearly named?
- Are claims specific or vague?
- Is fear being used?
Natural and Organic Brands
Finding products labelled natural, organic, clean or sustainable is easy. Working out what those words actually mean is much harder. Our brand directory looks at the companies behind the products, what they make, the ingredients they use, their certifications, ownership, environmental claims and where their products are made. I also include what I like, what I don’t like and products I’ve actually used myself. Explore brands across natural skincare and beauty, baby and child, health and supplements, household cleaning, food and drink, home and living and clothing and textiles.
