Everything about prevention comes back to immunity. In the medical world, diseases are treated one by one with specific medications, but in a healthy body we don’t usually talk about fixing symptoms in isolation, we don’t take a herbal remedy to fix a pain in the body (or we shouldn’t!). There is a tendency to treat natural remedies the same way as medication, if you have this pain, then take this herb. But it doesn’t work like that outside of the medicine + pharmaceutical world.
In prevention, we talk about resilience and immunity. All the food I eat, all the supplements I take and all the health pillars I try to take care of are part of a bigger aim, to support my immune system as much as possible. This isn’t about chasing cures or reacting to problems when they appear. It’s about building strength quietly in the background.
When immunity is supported over time, the body is better equipped to recognise threats, respond to them and recover. I can’t control everything that happens to my health, but I can give my body the best possible tools to fight for me for as long as it can.
